The xbox 360 Fall Update will provide more than 85 new features and enhancements, including support for native 1080p games and movies, faster Arcade game list display times and even more choices when it comes to video playback options.
Famitsu Japan is reporting that the Fall Update for the xbox 360 will be released tomorrow, October 31, just in time for Halloween and it is supposed to be a worldwide simultaneous release. More info inside.

There is simply no upcoming title that gets xbox 360 gamers excited more than Halo 3. Heck, we’d venture to say that there will be a lot of Xbox 360 consoles sold this holday season simply because gamers want to “finish the fight” on Microsoft’s next-gen console. Earlier in the year, Bill Gates teased that Bungie title would be released the same day as PS3. “It’s perfect,” Gates said. “The day Sony launches PlayStation 3, they walk right into Halo 3.”
Not gonna happen.
But at least in the December issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, Swedish mag LEVEL is going to break a lot of new news about Halo 3. Here are a few tidbits via IGN:
The Brutes will be armed with Spike Grenades and Spike Rifles. The grenades are said to stick to walls and explode into a vicious blast of sharp projectiles. There’s also word on a new Spartan Laser, a difficult-to-control but powerful attack that can disable vehicles in a single hit. Pwned!

To some people, the Nyko Intercooler is an xbox 360 owner’s dream come true. After all, the number one gripe with the 360 is that some of them tend to be a little…shall we say…hot under the collar. And the reviews for the cooling system have been out of this world, so all is right in the world, right?
Maybe not, according to a new article by GWN. The writer did an informal study when he noticed that six of his friends all had to replace their 360s. The common link with all of these consoles was that all of them were using the cooling peripheral.
Granted, given the wide range of problems that arose with our 360 consoles, this could all be chalked up to a bad string of luck. With the knowledge gained from talking to Microsoft’s employees, though, it makes one wonder if there is a distinct correlation between the addition of the Intercooler and the subsequent console malfunctions.

There have been conflicting reports about when Gears Of War is coming out for xbox 360. Some say it’s coming out November 7th, while others counter than November 12th is the real release date since that’s the official “Emergence Day”.
Thankfully, Gamerscore Blog has clarified the situation:
Let me clarify. Gears of War will begin shipping to retailers in the US on November 7th. It should start showing up in some stores by the 8th. November 12th is “Emergence Day”. There are two big reasons for the 12th being Emergence Day. Almost all US retailers should have the game in stores by then, and there will be some cool things going down on or around November 12th. I’m very excited for this title, and I’m sure I’ll see many of you guys online when the game releases.
