Xbox 360 Undercuts Nintendo Wii

by Nathan Bronfman
Core xbox 360 now cheaper than Wii
Pop quiz, hotshot: Which costs less, a Core xbox 360 or a Wii? Although the immediate answer that comes to mind is Nintendo Wii at $250, until the end of the year the answer is the 360 if you’re purchasing one from Micro Center.
Yup, the Core will set you back $199, while the premium will cost you $299 when taking advantage of the $100 rebate that ends on December 31, 2006.
For those of you who missed the Amazon deal, we can’t possibly imagine a deal better than this coming along.
“Micro Center is committed to offering the best selection and value for our customers,” said Kevin Jones, VP - Merchandising. “In view of shortages of PS3 and Wii models and the advantages of Microsoft’s Media Center Extender, we recognized that xbox 360 models are clearly the premier game console gifts this season.”
